Venugopalan is a writer and cultural observer whose work explores memory, identity, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. Born and raised at Palluruthy, a small village near Kochi, Kerala in the early sixties, he draws inspiration from the landscapes, rituals, and people that shaped his early years. A Village Before Time is his deeply personal homage to a world that once was, and a reflection on the timeless values that continue to resonate today.Kerala Kaleidoscope, his debut book, is an exploration of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Kerala. The book has won the coveted Golden Book Award 2025. He lives in Kochi, Kerala along with his family.
