An ND author, Janna's themes for writing are strongly speculative and often fabulist in theme. She has over fifty published short stories in SmokeLong Quarterly, Andromeda Spaceways, F(r)iction, Shenandoah, and Cheap Pop, among others. She has multiple nominations for Best MicroFiction and Best Small Fictions, placing a piece in Best MicroFictions in 2023. Starting as a guest reader for SmokeLong Quarterly, she is now a grateful Submissions Editor. Outside of writing, she is a North Carolina school librarian who enjoys reading (of course!), her family, and doing unusual and sadly expensive crafts. She is also surrounded by an absurd number of animals.
