When Periwinkle Manning goes to New Horizons Assisted Living Center to offer her condolences to one resident on the death of her roommate, she doesn't expect to see the ghost of the dead woman. Peri gained the ability to see the ghosts of murder victims after a concussion. Mrs. Naomi was supposed to have died of natural causes. However, she informs Peri that she was murdered. Her roommate backs it up by telling her she awoke to see someone smothering Naomi. Now Naomi wants to cross over, but she expects Peri to ferret out her murderer. Upon the murder of a second resident, they realize they may have an "angle of death" on their hands. Peri once again teams up with Theo Navarro, a border at the B&B she runs, as well as a PI in business with two friends of her deceased brother. A ghost from Peri's first mystery returns unexpectedly. Along with whom Peri calls The Ghost Squad, and with more residents at potential risk, they work to unmask a killer hiding in plain sight before they can strike again.
Big surprise, I'm a romantic. I love stories about knights and Highlanders. I love strong Alpha males, but I want them to have equally strong women for their partners. The mystery surrounding King Arthur has always been a favorite subject and it led me to wonder what would have happened if there was more to the story. What if the sword, and other swords, were more important? What if he had sons who survived? These questions and more led to the birth of my Sons of Pendragon series. I've also been fascinated by tales of the Fae from Ireland and Scotland. How would they interact with humans? What if they were forced into an alternate dimension and some of them were angry about it? The old, familiar, but still relevant trope of Good vs. Evil. This led to the birth of my companion series, The Sidhe Hunters. I also love mysteries! Reading and writing them. The first "book" I ever wrote was a mystery. Though at age eight, the "book" was only around twelve pages long. Finally, the Low Country of South Carolina, combined with the ghost stories my father used to tell me, led to a paranormal cozy mystery with some quirky characters, a bit of romance, and a touch of spooky. On a more personal note, I love animals. I currently have three very spoiled rescue dogs. I also love photography. You'll often see my photographs on my social media pages. I love history, archaeology, genealogy, and a lot of other -gys.
