In this book entitled "Phytochemical characterization and Anti cancer activity of Cucumis Sativus Linn, the plant Cucumis Sativus belonging to family Cucurbitaceae has been studied to compare and give detailed report on,preliminary phytochemical, isolation of active constituents and pharmacological studies. It shows that triterpenoids present in extract may be possibly responsible for the anticancer activities.

Dr. S. Gomathi, Lecturer, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, has published 43 papers in international and national indexed journals. She has also published three Indian patents and is currently conducting a research project funded by ICMR-Adhoc, Govt. of India.
