Il Dr. ¿lker Keçetep è l'unico figlio del veterano cipriota Nejat Keçetep e di Nesrin Keçetep, ha conseguito la laurea presso l'Università di Hacettepe in traduzione e interpretazione inglese, il master presso l'Università di Kassel (Germania) in ricerca e sviluppo dell'istruzione superiore e il dottorato presso l'Università di Hacettepe in principi di Atatürk e storia moderna della Turchia. Ha scritto 15 libri.
