Colin MacKinnon is an American writer and the author of widely acclaimed novels of international intrigue. His work has been optioned for film and published internationally. In addition to his fiction, he has written on subjects as varied as foreign trade, Iranian linguistics, and the history of cryptology. He was born in Middletown, Ohio, and lived his childhood there, a period he remembers as perpetual sunlight. (He knows he can't be right about this.) He spent years living and working in the Middle East and now lives near Washington, D.C.
