Kashyap Kumar Dubey is currently Professor and Dean, School of Biotechnology at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (India). He is working in the area of sustainability, process development, and removal of antineoplastic compounds from aqueous waste. He is running two research projects sanctioned by ICMR-DHR and CRG-DST and has completed six projects funded by DBT (Horizon 2020) on Clean Water for Health, BIRAC-DBT (PACE), BRICS-DST, UGC, and SERB on microbial process development. He has been significantly published in the area of biomanufacturing and hospital aqueous wastewater treatment. His motivation is towards the development of low-cost decentralised technology for onsite treatment of hospital aqueous water. Dr. Punit Kumar is an accomplished researcher and educator in the field of biotechnology, with a focus on microbial bioprocessing and bioengineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology and has demonstrated excellence throughout his academic journey. His research work during his Ph.D. revolved around enhancing lipstatin production from Streptomyces toxytricini under submerged fermentation. With a keen interest in teaching and imparting knowledge, Punit Kumar has had several teaching experiences at various prestigious institutes. He has mentored both undergraduate and postgraduate students, contributing to their academic growth and fostering their interest in biotechnology. He has made significant contributions to the field of biotechnology through his research articles and book chapters published in reputable international journals and books. His research focuses on microbial biodegradation, bioengineering, and bioprocessing, with special attention to novel applications of microorganisms in various industries. Dr. Punit Kumar is an active member of esteemed research societies, including the Indian Science Congress, the Association of Microbiologists of India, and the Biotech Research Society of India.
