É mestre e doutor em Ciências Vegetais pelo Centro de Estudos Avançados em Botânica da Universidade de Madras, Chennai, TN, Índia. Realizou os seus estudos de pós-doutorado na Universidade de Turim, Itália. Atualmente, trabalha como professor assistente de Botânica na Faculdade Thiagarajar, Madurai, TN, Índia.
