Extraction of tracheobronchial foreign bodies in children is a very delicate procedure, requiring complex anesthetic management to avoid serious complications. Our aim is to evaluate our anesthetic management and develop a standardized protocol. This is a longitudinal study comprising a prospective survey and a retrospective study of the records of children who have undergone bronchoscopy, in order to study the organizational and practical aspects of the anesthetic management of these children.Rigid bronchoscopy is the most widely used foreign body extraction technique in our hospitals, so an anesthetic protocol was needed to ensure the safety of the children during the perioperative period.
