There is a small planet called Klay, a place where animals talk and gods still roam. On its poles lay two vast continents, one of which happened to be shaped exactly like a teapot. This is where our story starts, just past the Krooked mountains, in the Corner Lands in the city of Tanglewood. Benedict E. Quigley is the world's laziest detective. He has only ever solved one case in his entire life and wishes he hadn't. With a murderous Hare on his tail, a Secret but unoriginal Brotherhood lurking around every corner, and the Police getting in the way, all Quigley wants is to save his skin... and receive big rewards for his efforts. Of course, it's never that easy... Who is the mysterious Goldfish running for Arch-Privy Councillorship? Why is there a puddle of Coffee seeking world domination? And what is Quigley going to do about Reggie, his moral and pedantic assistant? All of these are good questions, which therefore won't be answered...
Autorenporträt
Author's Biography Born in the hills near the small knitting town of Borage, P. C. Wolp, 42, is not at all who this biography is about. Indeed, we shall now not follow his life story of growing up as a mediumly competent Apple Shepherd. Nor shall we bother with his dangerous career transition at the Dweb Collage of Snippings to become an Umbrella Technician. Or for that matter, how one day a little piece of green putty lurking at the back of his fridge turned out to be, by complete unfortunate coincidence, the last surviving member of an alien scouting mission and throttled him after breakfast. No, this Biography is about someone else entirely, and we would like to apologise on behalf of the author for any unnecessary eye strain this convolution has caused. And now back to the biography... Marlow Lackner is a not quite 21-year-old author illustrator from Sydney. Besides writing he enjoys making short films, drawing illustrations, and producing New Wave music. He can also be found camping and going for long hikes in nature. A showcase of his work can be seen at: The World of Quigley.
