Bob Woodward, geb. 1943 in Geneva, Illinois, ist einer der bekanntesten investigativen Journalisten der Welt. 1972 deckten er und Carl Bernstein den Watergate-Skandal auf und zwangen damit US-Präsident Richard Nixon zum Rücktritt. Woodward wurde mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet, darunter auch mit dem angesehenen 'Pulitzer-Preis'. Heute arbeitet er als leitender Redakteur bei der 'Washington Post'.
