The civil service in Nigeria has been marred with a series of problems since its inception from the colonial era, up till the post-independent era, which propelled the series of colonial and post-independent reforms in the Nigerian Civil Service, in an attempt to reposition the civil service for greater efficiency, good governance and service delivery.
