Dr. Fiume earned her medical degree and specialization in Gastrointestinal Surgery from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. She completed her internship and residency in General Surgery at the Department of General and Esophageal Surgery, University of Naples, and in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, UK. In 2009, she was awarded a Doctorate in Medical and Surgical Oncology and Clinical Immunology from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. Dr. Fiume is currently a gastrointestinal and oncologic surgeon at the Hospital of Pesaro, Italy. Her research primarily focuses on the functional pathology of the esophagus as well as cancers of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.
