Melissa Kennedy is a doctoral student and research assistant in the Community Planning and Development Program at La Trobe University, Australia. Her research interests focus on the creative economy in rural and peri-urban communities. Andrew Butt is a Senior Lecturer in the Community Planning and Development Program at La Trobe University, Australia. His research and teaching has a focus on planning practice and community change in peri-urban and multifunctional rural regions in Australia. Marco Amati is an Associate Professor at RMIT University's School of Global, Urban and Social Sciences, Australia. His interests include the urban forest and green spaces and the history of planning.
