There have been, to date, no other contributions to the field of late Ottoman studies and Armenian studies based on an approach of the kind I take in my book. I am not aware of any scholarly monograph or even essay that takes the Armenian Genocide as the object of a microhistorical study. My book takes a vivid first person account and frames it in a scholarly discussion that clarifies its broader import.
