Tobe Momah M.D. is a board-certified family and obesity medicine physician working in Jackson, Mississippi. He is currently faculty and Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the only academic medical center in the state of Mississippi - the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). Prior to working in Jackson, Tobe Momah worked as the Medical director of one of the Largest Federally Health Qualified Centers in Louisiana - Primary Health services Center (PHSC), and as staff physician at the Louisiana state penitentiary, Angola and at Arcadia Family Medicine, Arcadia Louisiana.
He has more than fifty published scientific publications and twenty three books in print. He is the vision co-ordinator of Faith and Power Ministries, Intl - a 5013c organization that organizes annual mission trips to Africa and twice monthly Holy Ghost Night meetings in Monroe, Louisiana and Jackson, Mississippi. He also serves as Mississippi state representative for the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) and associate pastor at Miracle Temple Evangelistic Church (MTEC) Jackson, MS.
He attended the University of Nigeria, College of Medicine, Enugu, Nigeria, the family medicine program at The Brooklyn Hospital center, Cornell University New York and has a Masters' of Science degree in medical parasitology and diploma in tropical Medicine from the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, University of London, England. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), and serves on the board of numerous charities and secular organizations.
