Every child wants to be loved. Every child wants to make friends. Every child wants to laugh and play with classmates. Datari learns what it means to love his classmates even though they choose not to be his friends. Datari's Color Love provides an easy read about how an act of kindness motivated by love can lead to friendship.

Years ago I wrote a poem, The Color Love, for a children's choir my sister directed. That poem was the inspiration for this book. I believe only God sees what is in the heart of every individual. However, much of what is in our hearts is learned behavior. Datari's Color Love gives us a practical way to teach and show children how to love.Currently living not far from mountains, beaches and hiking trails, I get to enjoy the beautiful landscape of southern California. My twin daughters, two grandchildren, nieces and nephews live all across the country and keep me traveling. Sali Butler, MPH PM PC
