The book discusses technological solutions to the pressing issues around design and development for longevity (D4L). The author presents solutions in five comprehensive parts, including purpose, people, process, product, and platform. Part 1, Purpose, illustrates the rationale and underlying concepts and principles of Design for Longevity (D4L), highlighting its significance during the transformative societal shifts. Part 2, People, challenges the conventional three-stage of life model from birth, education, to retirement, advocating for a dynamic, multi-staged approach that celebrates individual growth at all ages. Part 3, Process, presents the process of applying ethnographic methodology of creating D4L products and service innovation, which encompasses both qualitative and quantitative research, as well as the inspiration, implementation, and reflection of D4L experiments. Part 4, Product, discusses the creative journey behind the Longevity Planning Blocks (LPBs), including the aspirations and vision driving the invention of the iterative design processes of D4L products, services, and experiences. Part 5, Platform, propose the creation of a D4L ecosystem, an evolving Life-centered system that transforms longevity planning and strategy into longevity fitness and wellbeing.
