O Dr. Luka Mangveep Ibrahim tem 18 anos de experiência de trabalho no programa de controlo da TB na Nigéria. Formou-se no programa de formação em epidemiologia de campo e laboratório e foi o primeiro africano a ganhar o prestigiado prémio William Foege na conferência do serviço de informação sobre epidemias de 2012, em Atlanta, nos EUA. É casado com Hannatu e tem três filhos.
