This work explored and identified some of the pertinent factors that determine the outcomes of TB treatment. The study revealed the key issues to include knowledge of the patients on the duration for the treatment of TB, distance to TB treatment sites, behavioral factors of the patients and the health care workers attitudes towards the patients. O Dr. Luka Mangveep Ibrahim tem 18 anos de experiência de trabalho no programa de controlo da TB na Nigéria. Formou-se no programa de formação em epidemiologia de campo e laboratório e foi o primeiro africano a ganhar o prestigiado prémio William Foege na conferência do serviço de informação sobre epidemias de 2012, em Atlanta, nos EUA. É casado com Hannatu e tem três filhos.
