CATHERINE Peterson Wilson and CAROLYN Peterson Benjamin were born as identical twins in Orlando, Florida, on August 10, 1947. They came from a close knit family with a loving mother, Gladys; one older brother, Willie; and two older sisters Lois and Joyce. Their family also included their Aunt Sarah, grandfather Ben and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Their home was filled with laughter, love of family and God, obedience, support, and life lessons.Catherine Peterson Wilson is the wife of retired teacher, Morgan Wilson. They are the parents of school administrator, Shalott Wilson Hazzard and dentist, Dr. Shayla Wilson.Catherine was a member of Jones High School marching band in Orlando, Florida. Little did she know that as a grandmother, she would be featured in a documentary about the time when the marching band attended the New York World's Fair in 1964. She now tours and interviews on panels about this historical experience.Carolyn Peterson Benjamin had two hobbies: swimming and singing. Because she loved to sing, she was lead soprano in her church choir. During her high school years, she even attended choir festivals with Jones High School choir. Carolyn also enjoyed high school business and typing classes where she learned to type over 90 words per minute.Florida A&M University, in Tallahassee, Florida, recruited both Catherine and Carolyn due to their swimming abilities.Together they went through the Orange County Public School System in Orlando, Florida. After they graduated Jones High School, they both earned bachelor's and master's degrees at Florida A&M University.Later in life, they became teachers and went on to become school administrators in the Orange County Public school system.After 35 years as educators, they both retired in August, 2008.
