This study describes the main predisposing characteristics related to the presence of ectoparasites on poultry farms. Elle est titulaire d'une maîtrise en sciences animales avec une concentration en épidémiologie et une spécialisation en microbiologie à l'UFMG, et mène des recherches sur les ectoparasites dans les élevages de volailles. Il travaille principalement sur les sujets suivants : épidémiologie, ectoparasites, Ornithonyssus sylviarum, Megninia spp, Dermanyssus gallinae, Phytiráptera, Diptera et éducation.
