The main objective of this study is to outline a path to mitigate the impact of droughts that commonly affect the Northeast region of Brazil by exploring the groundwater potential of micro-regions in the state of Paraíba. With a large collection of drilled wells that underwent physical-chemical analyses, flow tests, and georeferencing, it was possible to study the behavior of water quality and quantity profiles by micro-regions, with the aim of designing a water distribution management system for communities that do not have access to drinking water. A study was designed to serve scattered communities with 50, 150, 250, and 300 families, which may be located 10 km to 100 km from the water supply source. Using the coordinates of the wells as a data source for Google Earth, it was possible to determine several routes for supplying the cisterns in a sustainable manner.
