A person in search of freedom leaves home to travel the world and finds themselves on a southern island. In a world full of fleeting encounters and traveling friends, one individual remains particularly memorable. Two people, two souls, two independent spirits, and two paths that keep crossing. On a balcony overlooking the night sea, they dream of stopping time so their conversations can carry them into infinity. In the quiet moments, when only the gentle sound of the waves can be heard, the question arises: Should one have steered their inner compass differently? What is it that fulfills them? Independence or connection? What remains when the waves have settled? Is it easier to walk the path of life together, or does a star shine brightest when standing alone in the darkness?
Autorenporträt
Elena Leticia Buk, born in Vienna in 2000, discovered her passion for storytelling at an early age when her mother read to her from Michael Endes 'The Neverending Story'. Despite severe dyslexia and an initial aversion to reading and writing, she found her voice in literature through the influence of a demanding German teacher. The path of a girl who could not read aloud was challenging, yet time and effort sparked a deep love for language that continues to accompany her to this day. In 2021, Leticia moved to Portugal for a year and a half before beginning to travel the world. In her fictional stories, real experiences, encounters, and emotions are reflected. They capture the drive for freedom and the search for ones own path, carrying the impressions of real adventures into imagined worlds.
