This monograph is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the formation and development of gender equality in international law, as well as the peculiarities of its realization in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The first section examines the key stages in the formation of the global movement for women's rights, the role of international conferences and basic conventions, in particular the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), in ensuring gender equality.
