Stephanie Schneider is an associate professor of education at the State University of New York, Old Westbury. She has a particular focus on the philosophical underpinnings of teaching and learning, teacher preparation, and assessment. Before her work in higher education, she taught secondary social studies and special education. She holds a bachelor's degree in history and philosophy from Binghamton University and a Ph.D. in literacy studies from Hofstra University.
