Leadership is the purposeful influencing of people to achieve a previously agreed goal through clearly defined measures. However, there is no such thing as the ideal leadership style! When a company adapts to new challenges, its managers must also develop so that the change is rewarded with success. Leadership should always be viewed as situational and variable, not least because a company is in a constant process of change and development from the very beginning. Sustainable and successful leadership means fostering understanding and commitment to common goals, creating a trusting environment and cultivating mutual respect. A good, flexible manager is therefore a very important factor in a company's success. It is the task of senior management to focus the personal strengths of employees on shared successes and to create a balance between the company and its environment, between internal and external complexity, and between common goals and individual needs.
