David James is an imaginative storyteller who brings the same sense of wonder to his fiction that drives his creative studio, Adventures of the Persistently Impaired (...and Other Tales). Before diving into the world of writing, David spent nearly two decades in the music industry, working with major labels like Universal Music and EMI Records-an experience that infuses his stories with authentic cultural references and a pulse on what resonates with young readers.His journey as an author began unexpectedly through his Fortunes Told project, where he created unique Tarot-inspired designs that evolved into a narrative universe that young adults and adults alike could explore through both physical items and digital experiences. This blend of traditional storytelling and interactive elements reflects David's belief that the best stories exist both on and off the page.Known for characters who navigate life with neurodivergent perspectives, David draws subtle inspiration from his own experiences with ADHD.
