Bilqiss and L'Ampleur du saccage are poignant, feverish tales of male domination and its repercussions. They lay bare the gender inequalities that govern the entire world. These inequalities are caused by a social and political system, but also by an unjust and sexist economic vision that confines women to the most devalued and precarious sectors of the economy. These women also suffer from physical inequalities: they are beaten, terrorized, raped or killed. They are effaced or disoriented victims, subjugated and violated beings. These embarrassing, even traumatic situations give rise to a female activism that, through reasoned speech and deliberate irony, gives greater visibility to the problems facing women worldwide. Our work will focus on hierarchical relations and the physical and symbolic violence they engender within patriarchal societies. We will also point to a certain commitment on behalf of subalterns to overthrow the expected order.
