The term 'match fixing' means that the course or outcome of a sporting competition is manipulated. This term has developed over time from 'match manipulation.' Sandro Lindschinger, born in 1985, studied law at the University of Vienna and completed a master's degree in sports law at Danube University Krems. He played professional football for eight years (30 Bundesliga matches) and won bronze with Austria at the U-19 European Championships in Liechtenstein in 2003. He is a qualified UEFA A licence football coach.
