Rabiah T. Badroen's passion for human rights originated in her witnessing violations of human dignity in the world around her, ultimately leading to her choice of master's dissertation topic: Human Rights in Islam - The Uprisings in North Africa.Following her master's degree, Rabiah moved on to freelance journalism while based in Saudi Arabia, a career that consisted of contributions to various Middle Eastern publications with a focus on Islam and health. These publications included, among others, Saudi Gazette, Arabian Woman, and Muslim World League.She then progressed to a full-time role in the English department at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, as well as publishing her work on academic platforms, such as ResearchGate and Academia. Continuing her work as a writer, Rabiah now lives in her native South Africa.
