More About This is a collection of stories and essays from a non-denominational spiritual perspective. This is simply "one-of-us" passing on whatever truths she found, warts and all, without dogma, without preaching, without pretense. More About This is a collection of stories and essays from a non-denominational spiritual perspective. This is simply "one-of-us" passing on whatever truths she found, warts and all, without dogma, without preaching, without pretense. Personal essays, short-stories, and word-sketches talk about things we usually don't talk about, and often light a small spark in the darkness with moments of unexpected revelation, shared for no reason except just to "pay it forward." You may find some things here to make you smile, or weep, or whatever your own genuine humanness needs right now. If you see some of yourself in these pages, just know that it's all spoken with love, knowing that sometimes the most reassuring thing we can say to ourselves and each other these these days is "Me too. I understand." Take to heart whatever rings true for you, it's meant to be yours. Whatever doesn't quite hit the mark, just let that part go by. Humanity is designed to be a "smorgasbord" of abundant truths in expression. Help yourself to what feels right for you, and leave the rest for whoever else it was meant for.
Autorenporträt
After retiring active careers as a line firefighter Paramedic in Alameda County California and a Hospital Emergency Room caregiver in Berkeley, the author is devoting her full time to writing. She has some stories to tell. Her blog of "essays about everything" at https://moreaboutthis.wordpress.com and writer blog" Write From Life" at http://w2w.victoriachames.com are down-to-earth philosophies expressed informally in poetry, essays, and short-stories that uplift the spirit. Some are realistically sad, even tragic, but always earnest, always positive, always simple enough that all of us can know and understand. Her writer-blog shares the real-life ups and downs of being a non-fiction writer and the personal rewards and hazards of telling the truth. You can also see her thought-provoking visual essay series of digital paintings and prints, "Fences" at http://art.victoriachames.com
