Matt Cost (aka Matthew Langdon Cost) is the highly acclaimed, award-winning author of six books in the Mainely Mystery series. The first book, Mainely Power, was selected as the Maine Humanities Council Read ME Fiction Book of 2020. He is also the author of the Clay Wolfe/Port Essex Mysteries, beginning with Wolfe Trap. The latest, Glow Trap, will be published by Encircle in August 2025. I Am Cuba was his first traditionally published novel. His other historical fiction novels are Love in a Time of Hate (August 2021), and At Every Hazard (August 2022). His love of histories and mysteries is combined in his 1920's Brooklyn 8 Ballo Mystery series, which begins with Velma Gone Awry (April 2023) and continues in City Gone Askew (July 2024).
