Coco's life was anything but easy or normal. With a family broken for generations, an absent father, a teenage mother, four younger brothers and an aggressive stepfather, Coco soon finds herself alone in a world characterized by abuse, mental illness and financial problems. From a very young age, she learned to fend for herself to walk her path, often desolate and so full of darkness, that it was about to swallow her completely. But Coco did not give up. Although at that time she still did not know where she came from, she found the strength and the light to move forward; she fought against the biggest obstacles and her tenacity made her achieve achievements that seemed like only dreams. Every time the darkness returned and threatened to take everything away from her, Coco faced her demons again, only to discover that she no longer had to do it alone. So, after years of struggle and thanks to the support of her psychoanalyst, her psychiatrist and people who proved themselves in her family, Coco found and turned on her true light to shine like never before. She broke the generational chains of her family and turned her pain into forgiveness and learning. It awakened in her an indescribable force that was always inside her, the force of a Firefly Woman. With this testimony, painful and inspiring, related to shades of humor that make it empathetic, agile and fun, the author seeks to awaken the reader and alert them to their innate ability to find that inner light that we all have ready to turn on despite adversity. Coco Bukucs seeks to fill the dark sky with tiny points of light. One for each heart that lights up with hope and love after reading this book.
