Yoga is the ultimate form of personal mastery. When we understand the human psyche we are then able to master how our life unfolds and as we step into the world of teaching yoga, too much emphasis is placed on the physical body. Over the years, there have been different models of how to look at a person in order to craft a yoga lesson. What is also important is the need to look at the art of teaching and the basics of business. Yoga teacher training courses also delve into yoga philosophy and there are many books on the subject area. Part of teaching is being able to take the teachings of yoga, embody those teachings and share them with those who come to class in a way that they will find it easy to understand. It is about distilling the knowledge in order to influence others. This is the manual a supplemental guide for teachers off on the My Kind of Yogä path, where we cover the science, art, and business of yoga, leading into the embodiment of yoga. The teacher training programme is online, complemented by group and personal mentoring sessions. This manual is by no means complete or finished as the yoga journey is personal and ongoing, and it certainly was not written for publishing. By making it available for purchase, we hope to move closer to our vision of touching even more lives with the power of yoga.
