A proud Filipina, Dr. Ivy Hilay Wilcher was born and raised in the Philippines. She became an educator specializing in special education and general education, and taught for seven years in the Philippines. She now lives and teaches in the US. When she's not teaching, Ivy loves writing stories, playing musical instruments, painting, drawing, and dancing. She has two cats, Riley and Jinkey, who enjoy spending time with her whenever she is writing. Her husband edits her work and likes to give suggestions.
