Natural Foods from the Tapestry of Life is dedicated to individuals and families who seek the benefits of natural health. This book describes the high-quality nourishment that can be obtained from traditionally-prepared foods and offers a unique opportunity to study the breadth of natural foods' health-giving properties. This comprehensive book illustrates the inextricable connection between our food and nature. Nature's complex ecosystems and regenerative, organic gardens and farms are the source of the wide diversity and abundance of natural foods that provide the nutrients we need. Containing more than 150 nutrition charts, each chapter is a window into selecting the natural foods that are best for you. The book, written for all age groups, also includes more than 200 illustrations depicting individual natural foods from 18 common food groups. As humans, we have depended on natural foods from the land and sea for ~300,000 years. Over that time, our species adapted to the foods our ancestors hunted, pastured, fished, foraged, and cultivated.
