Autorenporträt
Kara Raynaud, a New York City native, began working on film sets at 22. Her career launched with the acclaimed film KIDS, where she was a Makeup Artist. She transitioned to screenwriting and directing under Susan Batson, coach to Nicole Kidman and Juliette Binoche. Kara has written 15 projects, including "Great Big World," optioned by Oscar-nominated producer Larry Meistrich. She directed the comedy pilot The Queen of Greenwich Village, featuring Anne Meara. In 2017, she directed The Bluebird of Bed-Stuy, a remake of a Shirley Temple classic. She credits her studies with Susan Batson and her participation in The Studio in New York and The Wimpole Writer's Group in LA as pivotal. Inspired by her love of dogs, she penned her debut novel, No Home For Romeo. Kara also mentors young writers through her program, "Screen Warriors."
