This book presents a detailed corpus-based analysis of the old and new English course materials used in Greek state primary schools. By applying computational and linguistic methods to these pedagogical corpora, the research reveals significant differences in terms of vocabulary size, its frequency and recycling within each of the course book. In this light, this research may offer insights to stakeholders and applied linguists interested in the evolution of English Language Teaching (ELT) materials.
