The work, Physical Activity and Quality of Life - Mood and Motivation, contains a basic theoretical framework, serving as a practical guide. The theoretical basis for the formulation of the problem situation, justification and case studies, and methods show the reader the wide possibilities for reproducing the study, in addition to its application in various designs. It is a book that aims to stimulate, encourage and provide, especially to Physical Education teachers, an example of how it is possible to do science with few resources and good ideas, as well as dedication and courage. The presentation of the chapters themselves provides an example of the suitability of the proposed methodology. This is already an important contribution to helping change the profile of Physical Education in schools. In other words, this book shows the target audience, physical education teachers, as well as managers, supervisors, school counsellors and other interested parties: 'If diagnostic assessment is important in the doctor's office, clinic, club, gym... why isn't it also important in school physical education classes?' Afonso Timão Simplício.
