The purpose of this illustrated booklet is to record much of the wartime activities of Plymstock when many of its people were involved in different organisations, who enlisted into the services, who got caught up in the many air raids and who celebrated the end of hostilities joyously in 1945. This celebration of local history, focused on World War 2 in Plymstock, is a culmination of much research from the author. The contents of this book are identical to the original edition. The author, Arthur L Clamp, passed away in 2001, but his legacy lives on through his family, who have made minor alterations to the covers and are co-ordinating the re-publishing project. This revised edition includes additional pages about the author and his writing process.
