Heidi acquired a love of reading in elementary school, eagerly anticipating the bookmobile's visits to her childhood home in windswept rural Nevada. She welcomed the challenge of her classes in English and literature. As a parent, some of her fondest memories are the time set aside each and every day for storytime with her son. Today, she carries on the tradition with her young granddaughter. Heidi and her husband, Jon, live in northern Nevada, where they enjoy the high desert and beautiful Sierra Nevada landscapes.
