Winner of the GLAAD Media Award! “It’s the portrayal of realistic-looking female characters. Different body types that women see when they look in the mirror, not in Photoshopped ads from fashion magazines.” —Comics for girls: Spandex not required “This book represents a new type of fantasy comic; one where strong female leads are represented in a realistic and powerful light. This is about four badass adventurers who are also women, and it couldn’t be better.” —Chris Smith, Comic Bastards
