Kailas Aute enseigne l'anglais depuis plus de dix ans à l'UG/PG et au centre de recherche d'anglais du Smt. CHM College, Ulhasnagar, à l'université de Mumbai. Ses principaux domaines d'intérêt sont la littérature indienne, les études sur la diaspora, la littérature postcoloniale et les études culturelles. Il a publié plusieurs articles de recherche dans des revues nationales et internationales.
