This book describes the contemporary urban society of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a triple post: Post-socialism, post-war and post-9/11. Using the approach of playground ethnography, the author applied a bottom-up approach to find out the social significance of Salafist actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the end of the war, with a special focus on Sarajevo Novi Grad.

Rosa Karolin Meyer is an international social worker and political scientist. She earned her doctorate at Goethe University with a thesis on the social significance of religious community organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her research and methodological focus is on playground ethnography, community-oriented democracy promotion, and the political dimensions of social work.
