Lynde's novels not only entertained but also provided a detailed portrayal of the challenges faced by individuals in the American West. Three of his books were adapted into films, demonstrating the lasting impact of his writing. Lynde passed away in 1930 at the age of 74 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
