Topics covered include renewable energy systems, advanced sustainable materials technologies, energy-efficient process and mechanical systems, smart manufacturing, and green and sustainable manufacturing. Ts. Dr. Christina Chin M.M. is an Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham Malaysia in the Department of Mechanical, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering. Her research expertise revolves around multi and interdisciplinary aspects of engineering project management, sustainability and environmental impact assessments, energy management, green technology, energy security and storage. Dr Christina has a substantial record of publications around the theme of renewable energy storage systems, energy security, eco-design, and project management, among others. She is a member of several national and international professional bodies, and journal reviewers. She is a Professional Technologist (Ts.) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK). Dr. Novita Sakundarini has her core research competencies in eco-design, sustainable manufacturing, material selection, recycling-oriented design, design and development of environmental impact assessment tools in product design, and development of expert systems for green design. She established many research collaborations and university linkages in manufacturing and sustainable design, specifically in Asia-Pacific universities. She published research articles in many high impacts referred journals, proceeding of international conferences and serves as an active invited reviewer of several international journals. Her expertise in eco-design, sustainable manufacturing, design and development of environmental impact assessment tool in product design, and development of expert systems for green design aligns with the goal of this proceeding. Dr. Akhil Garg is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. His expertise centres around energy storage systems, digital twins and thermal management systems. He currently holds the following editorial positions: (i) Associate Editor of ASME Journal of Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage; (ii) Deputy Editor-in-Chief of IET Collaborative Intelligence Manufacturing; (iii) Guest Editor of a special issue titled "Digitalization and Automation of Energy Systems" - ASME Journal of Computing Information Science and Engineering Dr. Andrew Spowage has over 25 years of experience in global higher education and senior positions in industry. Offering expertise in senior management, teaching, applied research, student-centred pedagogies and internationalising higher education. He has a diverse career spanning both leading academic institutions as well as senior roles in a wide range of industrial sectors. He currently holds the position of Reader within the School of Engineering and Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London and Director (Industry) Centre for Research in Engineering and Materials Education. He is a member of several international professional bodies. He is both a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Scientist and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
