Autorenporträt
Abigail Larson is an assistant professor at Southern Utah University. She has her PhD in exercise science and is a registered dietitian and certified specialist in sports nutrition. Abigail teaches concepts and applications of exercise and clinical physiology as well as sport psychology and sport nutrition. She has published numerous articles on the topics of sport conditioning and nutrition; her first text, Fuel for Sport, was published by Momentum Press in 2016. Abigail is also a former professional athlete and represented the US Ski Team as an Olympic athlete in Torino Italy (2006). Kary Woodruff is a certified specialist in sports nutrition (CSSD) and assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology at the University of Utah.  Kary works as a sports dietitian at the LiVe Well Center in Salt Lake City specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.  Kary is on the United States Olympic Committee registry of sports dietitians and works with elite athletes.  She has a master's in sports psychology and in sports nutrition from the University of Utah, published the textbook Sports Nutrition (Momentum Press, 2016), and is a contributing author of Nutrition and Physical Fitness in the textbook Williams' Basic Nutrition & Diet Therapy 15th edition.
