Sharanabasavaraj est titulaire d'une maîtrise en travail social, d'un doctorat en travail social de l'université de Gulbarga, à Kalaburagi. Il est actuellement membre du corps enseignant du département d'études et de recherche en travail social de l'université féminine Akkamahadevi de Vijayapura, dans l'État du Karnataka (Inde). Il est l'auteur de 6 articles de recherche.
