This paper deals with the topic of sustainable regional development in the context of the EU programme LEADER. On the one hand, it examines all important terms and scientific and political discourses that touch on the topic of sustainable regional development. On the other hand, it provides an overview of all relevant political framework conditions that explain the LEADER programme and form the basis for the qualitative content analysis carried out. Categories of sustainability goals and sustainability principles are used to answer this question.

Crecí en Hamburgo y en 2013 terminé con éxito mi licenciatura en 'Economía Social'. A continuación, trabajé en el área de recursos humanos, pero en 2015 decidí mudarme a Viena para cursar un máster en 'Desarrollo Internacional'. En el marco de estos estudios, he elaborado el presente trabajo.
