Foi nomeado professor assistente na Universidade de Hail, na Arábia Saudita, e depois trabalhou como professor assistente e chefe do departamento de biologia na Universidade de Aden, no Iémen. Os seus principais interesses incluem a sistemática da herpetofauna arábica.
